What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026
Tab Trade — What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that range is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, it matters less. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should be part of your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.
